Woolie's Picnic Day
Woolie the Sheep Poem Six
Woolie woke up smiling, going for picnic today,
To her was promised, by her Daddy yesterday.
She brushed her teeth, and washed her face,
Before heading down stairs, Like in a race.
Daddy was in kitchen, was excited as well,
A big wicker basket, food you could tell.
Also was a blanket, and bottles of drink,
Basket was so full, enough I do think.
Now then little Woolie, her daddy did say,
As he hugged her, you ready for today?
Daddy had made sure, that Woolie was aware,
Must clean up mess, because we do care.
Heading for the park, they did then walk,
As they did wander, they also did talk.
Played games about colours, next car will be,
And of course about, what they did see.
Daddy opens the gate, woolie follows him inside,
She closed the gate, daddy looked with pride.
Found a nice spot, the blanket was spread,
Put out the food, and drinks Daddy said.
They ate so much, and had great time,
The ground was dry, and weather stayed fine.
Woolie and her Daddy, started to tidy up,
The bag for wrappers, napkins and a cup.
When all was clear, they started to walk,
On the way home, again they did talk.
They both did laugh, when jokes were said,
When they got there, was time for bed.
Woolie was so happy, and told her dad,
Day was so great, great time she had,
Daddy held her hand, and kissed her head,
Said he loved her, she climbed into bed.
