Woolie goes to town
Woolie the Sheep Poem One
Woolie woke up early, upon a fine day,
Normally be asleep, or in the field to play.
She is going to town, going with her dad,
This is going to be fun, a great day to be had.
Woolie got washed,in speedy quick time,
Dressed herself as well, this day will be so fine.
She got her shoes on, she is ready you know,
Waiting for her dad, he is getting ready to go.
Woolie bounces along, smile so broad and wide,
Walking on the path, daddy by her side.
Soon they arrive, at the big toy shop,
With toys all around, woolie want's to stop.
Woolie try's to find it, the toy she is looking for,
A special dolly, which on television they saw.
Her daddy spots it, and reaches it down,
And a smile appears, where before was a frown.
Woolies has her dolly, names it nellie right away,
She cant wait to get home, so she can play.
Woolie and her daddy, stop at a cafe to eat,
They all sit down, and the dolly has a seat.
Woolie enjoys her food, with a full belly,
Take's daddy's hand, but leaves poor Nellie.
Bouncing along the road, without a care,
She has a new dolly, Nellie... oh no she is not there.
Woolie tells her daddy, and quickly turns around,
Rushing to the cafe, will Nellie be found?
The cafe owner says, ah... look what I got,
This lovely Dolly, the one that you forgot.
Woolie thanks the owner, and holds Nellie tight,
And will not let go again, not even tonight.
Happy again they go home, an eventful day,
When she got home, non stop play.
Woolie goes to bed, and Nellie by her side,
Her happiness, she just cant hide.
She goes to sleep, and dreams of Nellie,
The dolly she saw, first on the telly.
Night Woolie Nellie and You all!
