Old life left behind, in hands you wept.
In search of truth, you remember the lies,
You found the strength, to break the ties.
The pavement before you, so broken and worn,
Clothes on your back, so tattered and torn.
In search of salvation, you need to last,
You need the strength, to recall the past.
The route is planned, so long now ago,
You left the past, now time does show.
In search of answers, to questions not told,
You use your strength, and remain so bold.
The distance to travel, from inside your mind,
To return to truth, what you will find.
In search for freedom, before mind does break,
You muster the strength, for your own sake.
The journey near done, the blisters you wear,
As thoughts become clear, and you become aware.
In search of life, you held so dear,
You found the strength, you beat the fear.
A journey of mind, when damage is done,
To travel a route, there is only one.
In search of reality, you fight all alone,
You capture the strength, to finally come home.
