The wind cuts through you, find it hard to breath.
Sounds from the under-growth, may cause you some alarm,
The thought of some nasty, who wishes you some harm.
A shortcut through the park, was this so very wise,
Is there evil all around, to make you it’s prize.
But it is just wind, and dry leaves on breeze,
Yet that dog is barking, dark branches on the trees.
A shortcut through the park, you're walking ever so fast,
Get home in the warm, away from shadow that is cast.
So silly you remind yourself, buy can't fight the chill,
You house is so close, no evils set to kill.
A shortcut through the park, you now run down street,
The wind rushes by you, kids playing trick or treat.
You open your front door, and rush inside so fast,
Hiding under your old duvet, until this night has past
